Synopsis
Workplace stress and burnout are among the most common issues presenting in primary care. When unchecked, depression, anxiety, and other mental health conditions can develop. These carry significant implications for sick leave, medico-legal considerations, and overall patient well-being. Bringing together inter-professional perspectives from a psychologist and psychiatrist, this session will equip GPs to recognise common presentations and to identify signs of poor workplace mental health. Participants will learn brief management strategies in the clinic and know when to refer for specialist care. Case examples will be used to highlight practical approaches.

Highlights:

  • Workplace stress and common mental health challenges

  • Supporting patient’s mental wellbeing in Primary Care

  • Practical strategies for clinicians
